Amazing room and staff is always amazing.

Would like to go back there again, it was a fabulous stay during our 2 week visit. The hotel is fairly clean, has views of lake and mountains.

Immaculately clean rooms, clean hotel, lovely atmosphere. The rooms with lovely views. A lounge area and coffee available. Nice staff, easy location adjacent to the centre of Taupo, cafes, foreshore restaurants & shops and shops and restaurants in Taupo. Also, to the mountains lovely.

Not particularly friendly staff!

The apartment was luxurious, included shower facilities, a hair dryer, and a spa bathtub. Need to add that the lake view was a good bonus. The location was incredible and lovely, so close to lakefront, shops, the hill, and restaurants. Plus, we explored Warm Water Lake within walking distance of the hotel.

Loved the place, had a superb stay during our 2 week visit. Our apartment with all the essentials as well as queen bed was luxurious...

Facilities were good, however Wi-Fi connection was weak.

Liked this hip new hotel, and we would definitely return here. Everything was really good, had a pleasant stay during our visit. Handy location, we need just 10 minutes walk to the bus station.

The staff was not that friendly.

The rooms were impeccably clean with nice decor and electric blankets.

There was nothing I didnt like.

My stay was fantastic during our visit. I was offered a room with particularly good views right out to lake and mountains. The staff was very good, offered wake up service and ironing free of charge.

A wide range of food for breakfast, which was great to satisfy everyone. It had great location short walk to centre, and Taupo-centrally located. It also was to walk to the lakeside or the shops.

the experience was fantastic and i will come back. i had a luxurious apartment with a particularly good view of the lake & snowy mountains. location: the hotel was so close to the lake, cafes, restaurants and shopping, and the mountains lovely. tried some takeout specials at mcdonald's, luckily it was around 10-15 minutes walk from the venue.

Well, it was a restful stay during our visit. The room was perfectly clean and faced the lake. Loved a good-sized bathroom. During trip everything was good and we would stay here again.

Clean room and bathroom, well-equipped kitchen but missing a colander. Off-street parking available. Friendly staff. Some noise from neighbor's TV. a very happy stay. Looking forward to returning.

Booking was simple and the staff/owners went out of their way to select a room that was appropriate for me - I have a walking disability. I'd happy stay at the Ascot again.

We didn't have time, so stayed here only for 1 night, even so everything was great. Our immaculate room was equipped with sofa as well as TVs. This hotel was set in a very central area near to food/restaurants and the centre and a 4 square.

Lovely welcoming hosts, Christmas decorations, BBQ and activities for kids, convenient parking, great spa bath, short stroll to lake and town center. Highly recommended.
